The Tourism Ministry announced on Tuesday that 440,000 tourists entered Israel during May, an increase of 11 percent compared to the previous month and 26.8 percent compared to May 2017.

Between January and May, 1.899 million tourists entered the country, compared with 1.753 million in the same period last year, an increase of 8.3%. The estimated amount of income from tourists in May was NIS 2.1 billion, and since the beginning of the year, the scope of income from tourists was estimated at NIS 9.7 billion.
