Five fire and rescue teams, assisted by a water supply vehicle, are battling a fire that broke out among thorns and other vegetation in the Lifta area near Highway 1 at the entrance to Jerusalem.
The firefighters are trying to prevent the spread of fire toward transportation routes and adjacent buildings.
