Citing a newspaper in Lebanon, the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation reported Tuesday morning that Saudi Arabia had arrested about 60 Saudis and Palestinian Authority residents linked to Hamas in the last two months, or those who had made donations to the organization.

Among those arrested was a person who had served as a Hamas representative in the kingdom until the middle of the previous decade. The report - unconfirmed by other sources - also said that Saudi Arabia had closed suspicious bank accounts and increased supervision over them in the context of the prohibition on money laundering.
