Deputy Defense Minister Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan has split at his request from the Likud faction and is now heading an independent faction.
Ben-Dahan was included in the Likud list as part of an agreement between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and the heads of the United Right, which included Ben-Dahan's Jewish Home Party.
