Five firefighting companies are currently battling a fire in the Peace Forest (Yaar Hashalom in Hebrew) near the capital's Talpiot neighborhood
Ground crews are operating at several fire points in an effort to stop the fire before it spreads to the surrounding forest and homes. Aircraft from the "Elad" fire squadron have been activated to help the fire fighters on the ground. The Fire and Rescue Service notes that this is the second fire today in the forest.
