Member of Knesset Amir Peretz (Labor) called on Thursday for a convention to elect a new Labor chairman instead of primaries.
Interviewed by Israeli public radio, Peretz explained. "We have to meet the expectations of our members - to bring about [more Knesset] seats." He added, "We must not waste a month on an internal procedure. It's time we thought about how to win outside [the party]."
