Chairman Itzik Shmuli of the Labor Knesset faction said on Monday evening, "We intend to act energetically so that before [new] elections, another candidate will receive the mandate to try to form a government."
Shmuli said, "The most important thing at the moment is prevention of a blow by Netanyahu and his deputies to the rule of law through the heinous immunity and [Supreme Court] override bills that are intended to allow him to escape from the fear of justice. May they be thrown into their proper place in the trash can."
