Major General Sharon Afek, the Military Advocate General, participated in the Bar Association conference in Eilat and referred implicitly to the Elor Azariya affair.
"Anyone who needs to know - the rule of law in Israel will never give in. Another statement is about soldiers who are apparently afraid to shoot without legal advice when they feel that their lives are in danger. These statements do not correspond to reality. A soldier whose life is in danger and defends himself, receives and will receive maximum defense from us."
