Interior Minister Aryeh Deri signed an order banning the departure from Israel of Muhammad Arnout, a Hamas activist from Jerusalem.
The decision was made following a recommendation by the Shin Bet, against the background of concern that Arnault's departure would lead to harm to state security and to Arnnout's contacts with Hamas activists abroad, including those released in the Shalit deal.
A similar order was signed by Interior Minister Deri a month ago, which was received by another Hamas activist from Jerusalem, Amin Shweiki.
"I continue to act against the attempts of Hamas members to promote terrorist activity in Israel, exploiting the connections of those released from the Shalit deal to Israeli residents of Jerusalem who are known and supervised by security forces."
