The Yisrael Beytenu Party has rejected Agudat Yisrael's decision to adopt the draft compromise in the induction bill, as proposed by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. A party statement said, "Tonight's invitations to personal meetings with the Prime Minister, as well as a message from the Council of Torah Sages 10 minutes before the evening [news] editions, are two sides of one move aimed at putting pressure on Member of Knesset Liberman [chairman of Yisrael Beytenu -ed.].

The statement concluded, "After a failed attempt to form a government under optimal conditions, we would expect the prime minister to put pressure on the haredi parties and the rabbis behind them. In any case, our proposal is on the table, we publicized it extensivel and we do not intend to give up our principled position."
