Dozens of people arrived Thursday at the Supreme Court and created a "human shield" around the courthouse.

Attorney Yossi Havilio, a member of the Jerusalem city council and one of the organizers of the demonstration, said that "while the coalition negotiations rooms are formulating the disengagement clause, which means the de facto abolition of the High Court and the dictatorship of the majority, we came here to fight for Israeli democracy."

"This demonstration is the first demonstration and there will be many more after that of a large public that is not willing to compromise on democracy, justice, and morality," Havilio added.
