The road near the Uzi Narkis Bridge in Jerusalem has been closed due to a forest fire that has reduced visibility due to heavy smoke.
A forest fire has closed Highway 44 in both directions between the Shimshon and Eshtaol Junctions. Police have asked motorists to stay away from the area and use alternate routes.
