In a post on Twitter, Mk Shelly Yachimovich (Labor) talked about the traditions at her Lag BaOmer bonfires, writing:
"When I was a little girl, on Lag BaOmer, we would burn dolls of Hitler and of Nasser (the president of Egypt at that time), that is, Nasser was Hitler, and Egypt was the strongest, most threatening and hated country of the Arab countries. Remember that "war forever" is the name of a book, but not historical truth. Happy holiday."
