In response to MK Ofer Kassif from Hadash-Ta'al's statement against the teachings of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak Hacohen Kook, MK Moti Yogev (Jewish Home) re-submitted a bill to commemorate the Rav's work.
According to the proposal, the heritage of Rabbi Kook will be commemorated by holding a memorial day, conducting educational activities, and establishing a public council that will deal with the legacy of Rabbi Kook. Rabbi Kook Day will take place on the date of his passing on the 3rd of Elul, and will include a public memorial ceremony on the Mount of Olives.
