There will be a drill between 9:30 and 12:30 in Moshav Meron and on nearby traffic arteries, simulating emergency scenarios that could come up during Lag BaOmer observances on Wednesday night and Thursday.
As part of the exercise, there will be heavy traffic of security, emergency and rescue vehicles, as well as explosions from the use of pyrotechnic devices. The police said that the exercise was planned in advance as part of preparations for the marking of the anniversary of the passing of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
