    Former comptroller candidate: I considered this matter very seriously

    Attorney Michal Rosenboim, who canceled her candidacy for the position of state comptroller at the last minute, told Israel Defense Forces Radio, Tuesday morning, "In the last few days I received a series of requests to nominate me for the position. I considered this matter very seriously, but I reached the conclusion that I would not run at this time. I reserve the right to come back and take on a national mission of this kind in the future."

    Last night, the coalition decided to submit the candidacy of Director-General Matanyahu Englman of the Council for Higher Education for comptroller.
