The Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) Party has criticized reports by Channel 12 News that a half-year cease-fire agreement has been reached with Hamas.
A party statement said, "It is a humiliating surrender agreement that allows terrorists in Gaza to get organized and grow stronger. Hamas is actually dictating the agenda of the State of Israel and bringing the Israeli government back down to its knees. Netanyahu's declarations that he is a 'strong right' have long since become meaningless." It concluded, "The message that the terrorist organizations are receiving today is that it pays to attack the State of Israel. There is one solution to Gaza: elimination of Hamas, return to control in Gaza, to encourage its residents to immigrate to other countries and at the same time to renew Jewish settlement there."
