Firefighting Commissioner Didi Simchi said, Monday, that thinking should be changed in anticipation of the expected heat wave on Lag BaOmer.
Interviewed by Israeli public radio, he said, "I recommend giving up on [having] bonfires. If we all work together and find and alternative to bonfires, we can save lives and nature."
