More than 20,000 people participated Monday in a march for Israel organized by the Jewish Federation of Toronto as part of a gathering of the Israel and Diaspora Committee.
It also marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of the federation and its close relationship with the State of Israel in its 71 years of existence, in cooperation with municipalities, private institutions, donors and government organizations. According to the organizers, the march and associated events raised money for financing projects in Israel.
