The Jerusalem District Court sentenced four eastern Jerusalem residents to prison terms on Monday, as part of a plea bargain, for waving Hamas flags and wearing ribbons with Hamas symbols at a wedding.
One of the defendants is the groom himself, who was previously convicted of membership in the Shabab al-Aqsa organization and married into the house of terrorist "Abu Sabih" (the perpetrator of the October 2016 attack in Jerusalem which took the lives of policeman Yosef Kirma and Levana Malichi). During the wedding party, songs of praise were heard for Abu Sabih and his acts, and the Hamas flags were waived to cheer the celebrants. The court sentenced the groom to two and a half months' imprisonment, and a month to each of the other defendants who were guests at the wedding.
