President Reuven Rivlin has met with Leah and Simha Goldin, parents of Israel Defense Forces officer Hadar Goldin, whose body has been held by Hamas in Gaza since he was killed during the Protective Edge counter-terror campaign of 2014.
The Goldins requested that the President's Office promote a focused diplomacy and information campaign to determine that holding IDF soldiers is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. President Rivlin pledged to continue to act in any way he could, especially in the international arena, in order to promote the return of soldiers and civilians held in Gaza.
