Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein and 12 Members of Knesset from the Likud and United Right Parties called on Thursday for cancellation of the Disengagement Law, under which Israel withdrew from Gaza and four Jewish communities in northern Samaria in 2005.
The call was made during a visit to Homesh, one of the four communities. The area is under Israeli control but Israelis are forbidden to return under the Disengagement Law. Cancellation of the law would mean the return of thousands of Israelis to the area.
