The Waqf Islamic Authority on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem has paid about 10,000 shekels compensation to a young Jewish man who was documented being attacked by a Waqf man on the Temple Mount about two years ago, under a Jerusalem Magistrates Court ruling.

The plaintiff took part in a tour of the Temple Mount, during which he bowed, against regulations prohibiting anyting resembling non-Muslim prayer. A policeman picked him up from the ground and while he was handcuffed, a Waqf man approached and kicked him in the stomach.
