Supreme Court Justice Hanan Melcer has rejected a petition by Temple Mount activists demanding that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City be opened for Jews on Jerusalem Day.
The police have ordered the closing of the holy site to non-Muslims during the final days of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Judge Melcer wrote in his ruling, "We did not find any legal cause for intervention in the respondents' decisions."
