The United States State Department announced on Monday that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will stop in Brussels, Belgium, on his way to Sochi, Russia "to discuss recent threatening actions and statements by the Islamic Republic of Iran" with European allies.
Pompeo has canceled a scheduled stop in Moscow. A State Department media statement said, "Secretary Pompeo will continue to coordinate closely with our allies and partners to ensure the security of our mutual interests in the Middle East and around the world."
