MK Itzik Shmuli (Labor), chairman of the Pensioners and Holocaust Survivors' Lobby, responded to the cancellation of the meeting on the matter of property restitution by the Poles.
"Whoever is willing to negotiate with the Poles about the very memory of the Holocaust, should not be surprised that in the end he brings shame upon us, whereby the Poles were victims and Jewish property before the destruction did not exist. The entire responsibility rests with the government, which instead of fighting from the get-go, puts up the historical Jewish narrative for sale," he said.
