MK Nir Barkat (Likud) responded to the capture of a terrorist cell that planned to harm him while he was mayor of Jerusalem.
"Today I was informed about a second cell in the past year that plotted to harm me and was caught before doing so. As I acted for Jerusalem, I will continue to act without fear in every role that I will play on the national level for the citizens of Israel and our beloved country," said Barkat.
"I thank the Israel Security Agency and the Israel Police for the swift and effective action that succeeded in thwarting the terrorists' intention," added the MK.
