President of the State Reuven Rivlin and Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Aviv Kochavi today invited the outstanding soldier Corporal Ariel Salem to the President's Residence to personally award him the badge of excellence after the soldier felt ill during the ceremony held at the President's Residence last Thursday, Independence Day 71st for the State of Israel.
Ariel served in Central Command and despite medical limitations fought and insisted on volunteering and serving in the IDF, and his exceptional service in the job that cannot be noted in light of its security classification led his commanders to recommend Ariel to the President of Israel on Independence Day.
