In a post on Twitter, Chairman of the United Right Party Rabbi Rafi Peretz, wrote that:
"Much has been said about the connection between Memorial Day and Independence Day. Only a country like Israel knows how to give room to the fallen when the eye of the Lord cries and the heart is happy. This time of day twilight compacts everything that is beautiful in our people. I wish everyone a Happy Independence Day, a year of building the land, the ingathering of the exiles!"
