About 600 employees of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel have joined the Histadrut Labor Federation in order to improve their rights and conditions of employment.
This morning, a letter was sent to SPNI Director-General Iris Han, calling for negotiations with the Histadrut and the workers' committee to sign a collective agreement. The workers' committee stated, "We, the workers, lead and love our workplace and work for it on a daily basis, with great devotion and responsibility. At the same time, we also want to take care of our rights and improvement of our working conditions."
