The Department for the Investigation of Police announced today that no suspicion of criminal offenses has been found in the case of the policeman who shot Ethiopian Israeli Yehuda Biadga to death in January, "because the policeman's actions were found to stem from a sense of immediate and imminent danger in the circumstances in which the use of weapons was justified."

However, it was decided to transfer a number of matters to the competent authorities of the Israel Police, including an examination of the time that elapsed until other police forces arrived at the scene and an examination of the issue of treatment by patrol policemen in cases of a call involving a person with mental illness.
