As expected the temporary Knesset Finance Committee has elected Member of Knesset Moshe Gafni to serve as chairman until the coalition is formed, at which time, he is expected to continue.
Gafni said, "Next week I will bring some burning issues on the agenda, one of which is compensation for the southern communities." He promised, "We will also deal with tourism, agriculture, beekeepers, factories and residents. We will also deal with layoffs in factories where the residents of the south work. This is a very serious danger. We will deal with other pressing issues on the agenda."
