The HaMikdash Bezion organization has petitioned the Supreme Court to allow Jews and members of all faiths to go up to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City in the afternoon during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, in light of a police decision to close the mountain during these hours.

The petition states that "the prevention of Jewish ascent to the Temple Mount severely violates basic human rights such as freedom of religion and worship, freedom of movement, freedom of expression and human dignity. Jewish human rights on the Temple Mount should not be discriminated against." It also said the decision exceeds the legal authority of the police.
