United States Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who is heading the March of the Living in Poland on Thursday, told Israel Defense Forces Radio, Thursday morning, "There are very few things in this world that are more important than the need to remember the Holocaust. Only by learning the lessons can we prevent these crimes [from happening] again."

Friedman added, "The anti-Semitic ideology has not been eradicated from the world, I do not believe that we will be able to eliminate it, but we will have to lower the flames and continue to educate for tolerance."
