Tear gas has been fired on a highway near a Caracas air base where Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó appeared with soldiers on Tuesday.
The incident came after Guaidó said, "The community of Venezuela initiated the end of the usurpation [of President Nicolas Maduro]. At this moment I am meeting with the main military units of our armed forces, beginning the final phase of Operation Freedom."
