The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar has reported from a source in Hamas that Israel has rejected the latest demands of the factions in Gaza, including the introduction of Qatari money.
A Qatari source added that the emissary to the area had delayed his entry into the Hamas-ruled area at Israel's request. The factions conveyed a message to the mediators that the calm was at a "critical stage".
