Starting next year, payments to performers will be limited to up to 70,000 shekels for an hour's performance on the eve of Independence Day eve under recommendations of a public committee, adopted by Interior Minister Aryeh Deri.
The decision comes against the backdrop of word that this Independence Day, which will take place next week, there are artists who are receiving a payment of more than NIS 250,000 for a short performance.
