President Reuven Rivlin addressed today the passing of the Rebbe of Kaliv.
"I received with great sorrow the news of the death of the Admur of Kaliv zt"l, the 'Rebbe of the Holocaust,' who suffered severe torture as a prisoner in Auschwitz and devoted his life to the memory of those who perished in true love of Israel.
"The Rebbe raised on high the heroism of the Jewish faith during the Holocaust and insisted on our duty to do everything possible to remember those who perished. His memorial works are especially important in these days when we are committed to remembering and not to forget. My condolences to his family and to his many students. May his memory be for a blessing," the President added.
