The Defense Ministry announced it will hold a ceremony for the first time in history to commemorate the fallen haredi soldiers of the IDF on Memorial Day. The IDF announced it would take part in the ceremony by commanders of the 340th Division and the haredi military director, as well as all haredi IDF soldiers.
Yaakov Vider, initiator of the ceremony to memorialize fallen haredi IDF soldiers, said "this important decision of the Defense Ministry proves that the State of Israel will never forget those who gave their lives for the people of Israel."
