The Ministries of Finance and Economics have decided not to impose supervision on the prices of baby formula, for fear of rising prices, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio.
An examination conducted for the government price committee revealed that the marketing chains sell Materna and Similac at a 22% loss in order to attract customers, and supervision may cause them to converge to a uniform price "with government approval".
