With the sun coming out on Monday after a rainy Sunday, more than a thousand visitors went out to the Katif Center in Nitzan, north of Ashkelon for the annual .
The festival includes an innovative tour describing the Gush Katif settlement project, 2005's Disengagement and the re-growth that followed. At the same time, there are films for the children and a huge sandbox that simulates the beaches of the Gush, where children's activities are held alongside art stands. This year, for the first time, a green screen station was set up in which every visitor could pose for a picture against the backdrop of the landscape of Gush Katif. The center will operate in a similar format tomorrow with additional plays for children.
