In parallel with the coalition talks between the Likud and Yisrael Beytenu Parties, secret negotiations are also being held to fully connect the two parties, according to Israeli public television.

Sources in the Likud said that the chances of success of the talks depend on Yisrael Beytenu's demands and how much representation Avigdor Lieberman's party will demand in the Likud institutions. They emphasized that the union can only take place after the coalition negotiations. Yisrael Beytenu has denied this, saying, "Everything is spin on the background of future inheritance struggles within the Likud."
