"IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi, IDF officers, and soldiers are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of UNDOF FC&HoM from Ghana, Major General Francis Vib-Sanziri," the IDF said in a statement. "His hard work & unwavering commitment to regional stability were truly appreciated. He will be sorely missed."
Vib-Sanziri died on Friday of a heart attack.
