The Ministry of Environmental Protection has made it clear to the heads of local authorities that it is their responsibility to act now to prevent mosquito hazards in their jurisdictions.
The ministry noted that continuous treatment over the next few months could prevent outbreaks of diseases such as West Nile fever.
