Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said at a meeting in Gaza on the occasion of Prisoner Day that the agreement reached in prisons between the security prisoners' leadership and Israel was "a respectable victory," according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Haniyeh said Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu took the issue out of the hands of Public Safety Minister Gilad Erdan - which was a "drop from the tree".
