The Ministry of Communications has informed the Golan Telecom and Hot Mobile companies of their intention to impose a financial sanction of 300,000 shekels on each of them, for violating provisions regarding the protection of minors from harmful sites and content on the Internet.
In signup transactions executed with undercover ministry inspectors, in which it was stressed that the service was for a child aged nine-to-ten, sales agents did not inform the subscriber about offensive sites and content and the possibilities of protection against them, including technological means intended to filter such sites or content.
