United Hatzalah volunteers from the Carmel region near Haifa have once again organized their annual “Kimcha DePischa” food drive and helped to organize the collection of foods for Pesach/Passover to be handed out to needy members of their communities.
The volunteers gathered more than six tons of fruits and vegetables, eggs, matzot, and other essential items for the holiday. These items were donated by the community at large as well as business owners in Haifa and other towns in the area. The volunteers will now embark upon delivering the food to families in need in Haifa, the Krayot suburbs and the Carmel region, prior to the start of the holiday on Friday.
