Senior United States officials who were briefed on the administration's plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinian Authority say it is economic and not political plan, and therefore does not include two states, but the possibility of Palestinian autonomy, according to the Israel Public Broadcasting Authority.

Commenting on a report in the Washington Post, a senior PA official said, "If it's only autonomy, we will not cooperate." King Abdullah II of Jordan also objected, stating that the central issue in the "deal of the century" should be the division of two states on the basis of the 1967 borders.
