President Reuven Rivlin will begin a round of consultations on Monday, in which the factions elected to the Knesset will recommend the prime minister.
For the first time, the consultations will be broadcast live on the Internet. Rivlin will announce at the end of the meetings with the representatives of the factions who is the member of the Knesset who will be responsible for forming the government. According to the law, the elected Knesset member will have 28 days to form the government, and the president may give him an additional 14 days if necessary.
