Meretz Party Chairwoman Tamar Zandberg has asked Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to prevent the participation of Natan Eshel in coalition negotiations on behalf of the Likud.
According to Zandberg, his participation would be a violation of a plea bargain that prohibits Eshel from engaging in public activity. Zandberg wrote to the attorney general: "Sent a clear message that sexual harassment and violence against women are serious and unacceptable offenses, and that you will not allow a person who has been removed from public service for these offenses to return to a position which influences public life as if nothing had happened."
